For many, this weekend was a chance to celebrate freedom with loved ones.  We celebrated living in a country created on the principles of life, liberty, and justice for all established the day our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence.

Yet freedom is not a reality for many.

As we celebrate our nation’s freedom, we must remember the harsh reality that there are 27 million men, women, and children trapped in slavery today. Human trafficking is real.

But freedom is on the move.

Right now, rescued women in the Philippines are choosing to return to the same bars where they once were captives. Freedom has compelled them to set their sisters free (read a story here.)

It began with an organization called Wipe Every Tear in the Philippines, who helps women leave the Red Light District and receive a college education. Partnering with Adventures, their reach has jumped nations, with over 70 sexually exploited women bravely seeking restoration and life outside of the bars. Through discipleship, counseling, and healthy relationships, these brave women have found hope – and want to share it.

This story God is writing is bigger than one person, organization, country, or program. It’s a story of the Body of Christ in action, working together to establish his kingdom, continuing the Story he’s been writing all along – the story of setting his children free.

That’s why it is so successful, that’s why we are seeing more women leave now than ever before. It is because this is God’s heart. Please watch the video below that Adventures made to see exactly what God is doing.

Want to get involved? Comment below and I will get you in touch with the above organizations. Together we can change the world.
